No doubt, Scott’s abilities as an artist are evident in his portfolio. His work is polished, professional, and highly marketable. He is able to work quickly, take direction well, and skillfully use a variety of traditional and digital media. What may not be so evident, however, is Scott’s eagerness to learn and his refusal to accept anything less of himself than his best effort. In short, he has viewed each assignment as an opportunity. As a result, his technical and his conceptual skills have grown considerably in a relatively short period of time, and I’m certain they will continue to do so with each new challenge. Scott has brought to his work at NECC the maturity, discipline, and self-knowledge that has enabled him to pursue graphic design with a strong sense of purpose and focus.
